Continuing Education Provider (CEP) Standards

Continuing Education Providers (CEP) support the global yoga community by offering workshops, courses, and training that help yoga teachers expand their skills and knowledge. This is for practitioners adjacent to yoga — massage therapists, physiotherapists, meditation teachers, breathwork instructors — who want recognized credentials without a full RYT pathway

Yoga Alliance International recognizes CEPs that provide relevant, educational programs for ongoing professional development.

Requirements

To register as a Continuing Education Provider, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate experience teaching yoga or related programs
  • Provide a clear overview of courses offered
  • Ensure programs are relevant to yoga or professional development
  • Follow professional and ethical standards

Programs may be offered in person or online.

Program Types

Continuing education may include:

  • Advanced training modules
  • Workshops or short courses

  • Professional development programs

Maintaining Your Registration

To remain active, you must:

  • Follow the Yoga Alliance International Code of Conduct
  • Pay your annual membership renewal
